This is my Aunt Cindy and my Mom (right). I posted here about their mission at Dollywood.
This is Dolly's tour bus. Girlfriend rides in style.
I was slightly disappointed when mom told me that they couldn't get THAT close to Dolly for a picture because she was barricaded off. (come on Dolly..you have to get up close and personal with your biggest fans). BUT, according to mom, this is when my Aunt screamed across to Dolly, "DOLLY OUR MOM LOVED YOU" and Dolly waved back and said "Thank You!"
and then Aunt Cindy really dropped the bomb on Dolly....
"SHE JUST DIED IN JANUARY" --that'away Aunt Cindy. Hit 'em with reality.
and Dolly said, "Oh, I'm so sorry!"
Bye Dolly! Until my family stalks you down again next time!....

So great reading about your love and families love for your Mamaw. My mamaw died 10 years ago in a house fire, and I miss her dearly. So many things I wish I would have done with her when I had the time, but all I can do is keep on truckin on and live for her!

I LOVE it. It is my dream, too, to be photographed with Dolly. How great!
Oh, I'm so glad they got to talk to her and get her picture. My mamaw, too, loves Dolly and I have a bit of an obsession with her myself. Kara Kihm and I went on a pilgrimage to Dollywood after college and it was amazing. We didn't get to meet her but we thoroughly enjoyed "Heartsong" and all things Dolly while we were there.
